Language independant stock.

Hi DW,

We're building a new webshop for a customer. They are currently in DW, and we're building the new site in DW.

On their old site that had multiple languages and there for had each product in 3-4 languages. The problem they had on the old site was that the 4 language variants didn't share the same stock, this meant that if a product had a stock of 1, and someone bought in in the DK site, it still had a stock of 1 on the 3 other languages. Resulting on customers buying out-of-stock products, with out knowing.

I'm unsure whether there's a setting to tell DW to share stock across language, or whether this is the intentetd behaviur.

Most of our customers need the stock to be shared across languages, so that the stock is reduces no matter in what language a product ID is bought.

Any advice is appriciated :-)

Hi Martin

You can specify which properties, including price and stock, that should be variant and language specific in the management center. It is a setting that has always been there:

Altering this setting should fix your issue.
