Index query as smart search

Hi there

I want to use the index query as a smart search based on item fields.

I have built an item page and here I want to define the fields used in the index query.

I have created an input filed named "GroupName" and a field named "ProductName".

Now i want to do a query of products where the group name contains my "GroupName value" and the product name contains my "ProductName value".

The issue is that I cant figure out have to make a query called "groupname contains GroupName" (my item field).

Is this possible and how?

Hi Rune

I do not fully understand your question.

You are using the new indexing and have indexed products or items?

You can maybe attach a screenshot of your setup - and from that I can see what you are trying to accomplish.

So your search value (right side of your query) you want to get from where? From an item on the same page you are publishing a list of products?

Exactly - If possible, that would make it extremely easy to build the actual query i need on each page.

The same query could then output:

On page 1:

GroupName CONTAINS "Bord" AND ProductName CONTAINS "Skovby" = Alle Skovby borde

On page 2:

GroupName CONTAINS "Seng" AND ProductName CONTAINS "Soulmate" = Alle Soulmate senge

So yes, I would like the value to come from an item field either on the paragraph, the page or the page settings

Hi Rune

Yes, a whish from many.

In DW 8.8 it will be possible to override the parameters and sorting on the product list paragraph so you can do just that. See attached dump.
