How to link a product to a user

Hi,

A customer of ours has very specialized products. So the want, on the product detail page, to display some userdata (tel, email) of the concerning "technical product specialist"

My question is: how do I link a (extranet) user to one or more (eCom) products, so I can display the user data on te productdetail page?

Hi Harald

No easy way to do this. You can add an item type to users, and on that item type add a field of type product - that will make it posible to add products to a user on the item field.

Then when rendering the product, you can use some custom logic to find the right user...

Hi Nicolai,

Thank you for your answer, I was hoping on a simpeler way ;)

My idea was to create a new itemtype with a user and products, and write a product template extender which renders this Itemtype on the product page.
