Highest discount is still being aggregated!?

Hello DW guys,

Hope I can get some collaboration on this one...

I have a eCom here, users are using "Quantity discount". (see attachment)

There are 2 quantity discounts created with same conditions (same users and same products selected)

Only difference is one discount is giving -13% if 42 units are ordered, another one gives -18% if 84 units are ordered of one and the same product.

So... If users hits 42 units - he gets -13% off (fine) but as soon as he selects 84 - than system adds discounts and users gets 13+18 = -31% discount (not good) when they are supposed to get only - 18% off.

In eCommerce > advanced settings > sales discounts I set that it should take Highest, but users are still getting agregated -31%

Any suggestions here, or any reasons why it would do so?

Guess its a bug, tried submitting it?

I guess the easy fix(without making ur own discount) is to just take it into consideration when you create the discount.

So make

42 units = 13 %

84 units = +5%

Then 84 units would make 13+5 = 18%

Or am i missing something? ;-)

Hej Marco,

That's correct... Cause it grabs 2 discounts and still adds them. Not sure what did I do wrong (if I did anything wrong).

Strange that this function could be classified as bug (you never know) simply cause I think it is quite popular discount that users should have used 1000 times before... I am sure bug could have been tracked and fixed looong time ago...

Hi folks,

This is pretty much a copy'paste from case:

Even though it is undesired behaviour in your scenario, this is actually by design and not an error - though it may seem so.

However, we are aware of the wish for this functionality and we are expecting to implement it into a future release. But for the time being you will have to see your way through it, either by using existing functionality in new ways or by applying your own custom discount provider.

Any update if this is part of a current or future a release?

Can not find any settings today for taking the best product discount.
