GLS Shopdelivery: Notification mails from GLS

Hi,

when setting up a GLS shipping provider, you are able to check 'Send e-mail notification'.

Here's the manual on the subject: http://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/how-tos/providers/gls-shopdelivery#sideNavTitle1-2

"Check Send email notifications if you want GLS to notify customers that their order has shipped. If used, please ensure that you always submit a customer email along with the regular customer details, or no notification will be sent."

1: Does the e-mail sent out by GLS in this context include a track & trace link?

2: How do I ensure that that the customer email is submitted? Our checkout flow of course includes the customer email, but it doesn't seem to have been transferred to GLS. Every other detail has been registered with GLS, though. We didn't have "Send email notifications" checked before just now.

I know these are very specific questions - but someone surely has more experience with GLS integration than I do :)

Hi,

1) Yes, the email looks like the one that I have attached.

2) You need to validate on the order.CustomerEmail field, which is the field that is exported to the csv file created when you "Create shipping document".

Kind regards,
Merethe
