Hi

Is it possible to add a gift card to the cart without placing the order. So that the customer can see that the giftcard is applyed in the cart.

Ex:

Product 1, 100:-

Product 2, 150:-

-------------

Total : 250:-

Giftcard xyxy:   200:-

--------------

Remaing amount:  50:-

 

[Place order]

Yes - giftcards are like Vouchers and can be applied one or more to the order, and the remaining amount is due for payment.

So when redering the cart I should be able to loop through added giftcards? Like in the receipt where there is a loop for gift cards.

Yes - the giftcards can be added in the giftcard field as "<code>, <code>" and then the giftcards are added to the orderlines loop as types of giftcard...

Hi 

Isn't we can utilised Voucher for purchase of Gift Cards? 

And also, May I know how can we control the GST included in Gift Card products? 

We already set up NAV products with GST and it shows correct price in cart page. But when we create Gift Card from DW, the GST amount is calculated

and showing (-) GST amount when we added Gift Card products. Is there any configuration on Gift Card products with/without GST showing in Cart page?

E.g, I added to cart ($50) Gift Card product, but when I tried to checkout, the price was only $46.73 at cart page. 

(My current application is 9.6.9)

Hi Naychi

In later 9.7 versions it is possible to add GST/VAT to giftcards. Also we did make changes to discounts related to giftcards. Not sure you can, but try it out on latest 9.7 or 9.8!

Thanks! I will try in the latest version.

And I have another question on Voucher. That's can we use the voucher to purchase the e-gift card? Becasue one of our customers want to use Voucher

on Gift Card products.

If not, may I know the reason why?

I think you can in the later 9.7s - but test it.

The reason why you cannot in earlier versions at least, is that it is not 'legal' in our region tax and vat vise - and because you actually with this feature invent your own virtual 'currency' (vouchers and giftcards that is not part of banks financial systems) and hence alternative payment methods, which requires a financial license. This is to control taxation, laundering and other criminal activities.

After upgrading application to 9.7.7, gift card and voucher issues as I mentioned are fixed.
