Facets with special characters

Hi guys,

I know I have a duplicated name on a previous thread but I cannot find a better title.

I have a Slovak website where some of the facets are rendered weird. The ProductCategory fields are rendered correctly (for example Pneumatické) but the VariantOption facets are rendered wrong (for example C02 sivá instead of C02 sivá)

In the backend, the options are rendered correctly. Only the facets are affected and only the ones that are based on VariantOptions.

How do I solve it?

Thank you,
Adrian

Hi Adrian

It can be either the data that is indexed incorrectly - some sort of issue with encoding - I find that unlikely, but we can check it out.

The other problem can be the rendering itself in the browser that somehow uses som encoding/urldecode or similar that causes the problem. Can you share a link to where the problem can be seen?

Thanks, Nicolai

Hi Nicolai,

That's for Czech language. The link I gave you is for Slovak language. LANG17 in your screenshot.

Hi Adrian

You have a lot of custom - cannot see what goes wrong... But it does work when I use that word in my solutions running 9.5, see dump

Hi Nicolai,

This one is not custom. It is a Variant option. All the custom fields are rendered correctly. Only the Variant options are rendered wring. Luckily, most of the variant options are numbers. There are only 2 Variant Options with text.

From what I see, it looks like the names of the facets are taken from the Czech language instead of the Slovak Language. Somehow the Language is ignored.

It probably works if you have one language or the options are set on the language with the highest ID.

How should I debug further?

Adrian
