Extended variants : ok in the database but shown as simple variants

Hi,

I have done some changes in test for one of our solutions (8.5.1.8) but I'm having some issues with variants. I import extended variants and I can see that the data in the Dynamicweb database looks fine : every variant has a row, and the variant options do exist, as well as the variant groups.

However in production when I go in the Ecommerce section and look at my product, I can see that the variant icon is greyed out, indicating a simple variant. If I try to open that variant, it doesn't have the values that this variant normally possess (i.e a different product number, which I can see is fine in the database). I don't understand because in the test environment I have no problem, and I've compared the configurations quite extensively without spotting any difference (for example, all my fields are editable accross all variants). The integration job is also identical.

Any idea what could be causing it ?

Thanks

Caching maybe? What happens if you IISreset?

Otherwise it is data that is wrong. And really - you should upgrade to 8.9

No thanks, I really enjoy working on vintage software. I wish DW would accept punch card as a data integration source, but alas...

I have found my answer anyway, it is related to that : http://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum/integration/variant-integration-question-about-the-data?PID=1605

Turns out that in the meantime the productVariantid had changed and wasn't valid anymore...

Thanks
