Enable variant creation in all languages

Hi,

 

I have a shop solution and want to be able to create products with variants in a language that is not the default language. I can create the product, but I'm not able to create the variants - I can only do this in the default language, but I dont want the products to exist and the default language. Am I missing a checkbox somewhere? :-)

Anyone? When i try to create variants on a language that is not default, the variant groups are just grey - and I can't click them to create variants. This is only possible on the default language, but I don't want the products to exist en the default language.

 

Let me know if it's not clear what I'm trying to accomplish.

You need to translate the variant groups also.

You can on a shop, under properties, define which languages that are available for that shop and which is primary. You can place these products in a group in a second shop and have that one have some language settings that fits your needs.

Hi Nicolai,

 

Under properties i only have "Settings", "Stock locations" and "Order notifications". Do I have to do something else to get the language settings on the shop?

Hi all,

the solution now has 'Basic' ecom witht 'Multi Shop Advanced' add-on mudule not enabled which needs to allow the feature (please, see http://manual.dynamicweb-cms.com/Dynamicweb-On-line-Manual/Management-Center/eCommerce/Product-catalog/Shops.aspx,  section Languages). Probably, the ability is blocked with license.

Hi Oleg,

Now I can choose the languages for the shop - and I have chosen danish, norwegian, swedish, german and english. With this done I'm still not able to create variants for products in other than the default language. But I do not want these few products to be available in other than germany (and not in Denmark which is default). How come?

Hi René,

It's the feature, you should initially add variant combinations in default language. After that you can extend the combinations in other available languages (keep in you mind about options defined with MC-Ecomm-Advanced configuration-Fields). I've tested your solution and it's now done properly.
