EcomNavigation and sorting

Hi,

I'm using EcomNavigation to output my productgroups in the menu, but even though they are sorted in the backed under Ecommerce, they always end up sorted alphabetically on the frontend.

Where is the xslt located, which is used for the EcomNavigation?

Hi Kurt.

It will be in the /Designs/{designname}/Navigation folder. But it is probably related to how you have added the groups to the page. Have a look at this thread:

If I'm using assortments, it automatically uses the assortment navigation.

Is it possible to set a sort order here or is the sort order in the query for the repository just for products?

Not sure I understand your question?

The sort order in the query is just for products - the index only contains products and no groups.

Hi Nicolai,

Well, the EcomNavigation states, that the assortment is used as navigation. That's why I thought it was controlled by the repository.

Hi Kurt.

The navigation is never controlled by the index. Always navigation providers. So the error is either in the template or in the settings of the navigation.

Try to apply &savexml=true and take a look in your navigation folder. that will product a xml file for each navigation. In there you can see the order they comes out of the navigation system and if the sorting is managed by the xslt or the settings.
