Assets do not allow mp3 files

Hi,

 

We have a customer (without PIM) that went live with 9.5/9.6 but now is on 9.8.4

 

So far so good, but the problem is that we have some mp3 files in EcomDetails. It looks like for a customer without PIM we can't access Asset Categories settings (which is fine), but they can't seem to add mp3 files.

 

Is there a way around this? I can see from other sites that mp3 is not even an allowed file extension. Is there any way to change that?

Hi Nuno,

I see that this is actually a limitation to which file extensions you can see in the FileManager. Currently, it only shows the file extensions from the GlobalSetting '/Globalsettings/Ecom/Product/Details/Extensions'. You can just add 'mp3' to this list, then it will show up in the FileManager.

I will try to look more into this because I don't think this behavior is 100% correct.
