Duplicate order emails

Hello,

I'm having an issue with the order confirmation emails : they seem to be sent twice, a bit more than a minute apart.

Here's an example of my logs :

[30.10.2017 08.44.40]: Send using Pickup Directory Service failed. Trying SMTP protocol.
[30.10.2017 08.44.48]: Mail sent successfully using SMTP protocol. Recipients: 'endcustomer@gmail.com' - CC Recipients: - BCC Recipients:

[30.10.2017 08.44.48]: Send using Pickup Directory Service failed. Trying SMTP protocol.
[30.10.2017 08.44.54]: Mail sent successfully using SMTP protocol. Recipients: 'order@mycompany.com' - CC Recipients: - BCC Recipients:

[30.10.2017 08.46.06]: Send using Pickup Directory Service failed. Trying SMTP protocol.
[30.10.2017 08.46.13]: Mail sent successfully using SMTP protocol. Recipients: 'endcustomer@gmail.com' - CC Recipients: - BCC Recipients:

[30.10.2017 08.46.13]: Send using Pickup Directory Service failed. Trying SMTP protocol.
[30.10.2017 08.46.20]: Mail sent successfully using SMTP protocol. Recipients: 'order@mycompany.com' - CC Recipients: - BCC Recipients:

 

It is only for order confirmation, other emails such as those sent from forms don't have that issue.

Also of notice, I have checked "Do not use SMTP pickup directory" in the system settings, and it's still  trying to use it.

I use 9.3.2. Any idea ?

I still have the problem. It is not systematic, only happens for a small amount of emails, which is weird.

Hi GaĆ«tan,

 

Do you happen to be working with the PayPal Express Payment Provider?

 

The reason why I ask is because we have a solution where a similar problem is happening, but we could never figure out the root cause, other than it only happen to order with PayPal and only to some of them.

No we use Quickpay.
