Days the cart is saved not working as expected

I've set the setting "Days the cart is saved" to 1 (day), but the cart is still there 36 hours after I put the product in there.

How is this setting working?

The setting controls the life time of the cookie in the browser that you used.

If you made any visits to the site in the past 36 hours, the cookies is renewed... No matter if you made changes to the cart.
