Connecting a domain to use e-mail marketing

Reply

Hi, I am setting up e-mail marketing, but get no info on open mails, clicked links etc. I am trying to choose domain in the e.marketing settings but that drop down is empty.

Where do I change/correct this, so I can add correct domain?

You need to attach the domains first to the IIS and then to the website settings in the domains box.

Hi Thomas

You can add domains to the IIS if hosted at Hostnordic using the MC: http://manual.dynamicweb-cms.com/Default.aspx?ID=6666

You can add domains in the websites module: http://manual.dynamicweb-cms.com/Default.aspx?ID=7273

Hi again Nicolai, the customer don't host their solution at HostNoridic, so is it any point to try to add/set up the domains for the ISS inside the solution?

Also we are speaking with the guys who are in charge of the server/ISS and they say all styff is connected ( i enclose a dump it that tells you anything..)

The domains are and have been present in the website module al the time. The site is running well, but this don't work. We also have another client that consider start with e-mail marketing, but when I checked their solution have the same problems, so we need to fix this shortly.

Hi Nicolai, sorry but we don't get anywhere here. I have asked some people but no one seems to know how to handle this.

Addpro who is ABA skols hosting company says that the ISS is with correct setup, but I presume that doesn´t matter if there is no connection.

So any ideas what to do? Iam all yours...

Hi Thomas

ISS = International Space Station
IIS = Internet Information Service :-).

That said, I think it is a permission problem in the hosting environment. I've asked service desk to contact you - I'm unable to login to the solution, so I think it is a 'different' hosting environment.

Hi guys,

I have stumbled upon this problem myself a while ago.

On IIS you have to enable something like Metabase Compatibility (I can't remember exactly how it is called).
I believe Nicolai pointed me to that direction when I had the issue myself.

Here is a link: http://www.iis.net/learn/manage/managing-your-configuration-settings/metabase-compatibility-with-iis-7-and-above

Good luck!

Adrian
