Catalog publishing - count of products?

Hi all,

I am currently working with eCommerce where I've added the catalog publishing. I have followed the documentation and have succeeded to add a x amount of products to the catalog. However, I would like to let the user know, on a counter at the frontpage, the amount of products currently in the catalog. Is there a tag for this? - I can't seem to find it via the DwTemplateTags.

Best Regards,

MikkelTO

Hi Mikkel

Do not think that is possible right now... Will put a request to add the feature though.

Hi Nicolai,

Cheers, that would be awesome - and quite effective as well in my opinion :-)

Hi,

Mikkel, I have a question - just to clarify this feature before implementing it:

Do you want a product count tag for the product list (where you add the products to the catalog)? (ProductList template)

Or do you want the count in the catalog preview? (CatalogPublishingRegularPage template)

Kind regards,
Merethe

Hi Merethe,

It's for the amount of products added to the catalog - so the user knows how many products he/she have added in the process. Else there is no information regarding this as I see it.

Hi,

You are correct that the information isn't available. I just wanted to be sure that we implemented the count tags in the right place.

As I understand it it's in the product list that you need it (same page as "Add to catalog") and I'll add this to the specification of the feature.

Kind regards,
Merethe

Hi Merethe,

Yes, from the product list I would like to be able to keep track of the count of products in the catalog :)

Hi,

Thanks for your input. The count tags should be available from 8.6.

Kind regards,
Merethe
