Back in stock notifications

Hi everyone,

I’m testing the Back in Stock notifications, but I can’t get them to work properly.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much documentation for DW10, so I wanted to check if I’m missing something.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

  1. Go to Email > Campaign > Back in Stock Notifications > Create a Mail

  2. Check “Render content for each recipient”

  3. Uncheck “Ensure unique recipients”

  4. Select “Back in Stock recipients” and “Dynamic Web Send Provider” as providers

  5. Set timezone, then go to Actions > Save and Schedule

At this point, the email status changes to Scheduled. Then I update the product quantity from 0 to 1 (or higher).

  • I don’t receive any email.

  • In the event viewer, I see this:
Successfully executed all 2 tasks (Repository task handler (1); Email Marketing Scheduler (8)); time spent: 0,201

My Questions:

  1. Did I miss something or missconfigure?

  2. Will the back in stock email be active after sending out emails or will it revert to draft?

  3. On the frontend: when a user signs up for a Back in Stock alert and reloads the page, they can sign up again. Is that normal behavior, or should it prevent duplicate sign-ups?

Any insights or experiences would be super helpful. Thanks!

Hi,

I don't see the feature expected results with my test environment based on last DW10 admin as well, new task #25145 has been created against the issue. Refer to DW9 topic for details about the feature.

Hi,

While testing the Back-in-Stock notifications, I also noticed that there’s no “Back in Stock recipients” provider - or any other provider available, for that matter.

Is this expected behavior, or are we supposed to configure these providers manually?

Also, is this feature only available in DW9 since it is documented there, or should it be working in DW10 as well?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

the provider is placed in "Recipient provider" section on top folder\specific email settings if you use actual admin version (e.g. DW17.6.0) and valid licensy. Find the attachment shows the list of providers on Swift test solution has trial licensy.
