Hi.

I have a question regarding the autocomplete in DW.
We're using the solutionset, and on our server it only matches the exact productname, while in our local environment it starts searching after 3 letters. Even though it searches after 3 letters in our local environment, it still doesnt match the searchword exactly.
We want to achieve that it starts searching after the first letter and lists search results that matches the given letter.
Is there a setting somewhere that we can set to achieve this? Or is there another way to achieve this?

Hi Dan

If you have the latest 8.4.1 release, you can enable leading and trailing wildcard search on your free text filter in the filter group you are using. That is step 1.

On the page with the product catalog, in the product catalog settings under "Advanced search" check the checkbox "Always perform wildcard searches".

That will improve the results of the suggestions.

I do not think you can change when it should start suggesting. You can make a copy of the /Admin/Content/JsLib/dw/InstantSearch.min.js and change when it reacts there.

Also in the latest 8.4.1 release, you have a boosting node in MC->Ecommerce->Advanced configuration where you can boost some fields of the instant search.

Remember that the suggested search returns suggested products and not suggested keywords like Google.
