Shopping cart error related to Gift Cards (DW 9.8.5)

Hello

We upgraded a solution to 9.8.5 and have come across an issue with GiftCard in the shopping cart template.

We are also having trouble opening the Vouchers and Discounts nodes and wondering if it's all related and what may be causing this.

Hi Fabio,

What's DW verison was upgraded and what's desing was used - any standard Rapido version or some customized one? And please confirm that prevous version did not have the backend issues. I was able to reproduce the backend issues even on DW9.7 as well as on last DW9.8.6 with solution deployed via wizard (TFS 80028 new created) but cannot reproduce the frontend exception. I've tried to launch admin related to URL you have used in the video but had no access, redirect to a frontend only where I cannot see the error in cart. So, provide valid URL to the solution if possible.

Hi Oleg

Thanks for looking into this.

The previous version was 9.4.15 using a customized design and there weren't any issues entering the Voucher and Order Discounts nodes.

Regarding the frontend issue ,we were able to fix it by instantiating a new GiftCardService.

Hi Fabio,

Thanks for commenting. Great regarding solving the frontend issue, I hope the backend one will be fixed by TFS 80028 in upcoming DW release.

Hi Fabio

The problem regarding #80028 "Error exception in voucher and discount lists on empty or upgraded solution" has now been resolved in Dynamicweb version 9.8.8

To upgrade please choose this version from download here:

http://doc.dynamicweb.com/releases-and-downloads/releases
