In DW9, on the paragraph where you publish news, you set the template for the list and the news detail.

The solution I am workning on is www.bilrokt.fo

And the problem is that news looks like this (created in DW9) http://bilrokt.fo/Default.aspx?ID=14&Action=1&NewsId=1181&PID=32

But it should look like this (created in DW8) http://bilrokt.fo/Default.aspx?ID=14&Action=1&NewsId=1180&PID=32

Everything else is the same (same category, same workflow etc.)

Hm, old module :-).

Will have the template selector introduced on the news paragraph settings.

Needles to say that Items of course should be used for these purposes going forward.

Yeah it is the Old News Module, and this is an old solution. We stopped implementing the old news module a couple of years ago. But as it is still part of DW9, we didn´t expect any problems there.

Just to be sure, so as it stands now - it is not possible for this costumer as it stands to attach the correct template to this news element, and we have to wait for an update?

Yes, that is correct.

I have a workaround though: Go to Settings, Database, SQL firehose and execute this one: update news set newstemplateid=179 where NewsCategoryID = 2

Any news on when the template selector will be back? We have a costumer who is starting to get very impatient, and is breathing down our necks - so it would be really nice if it would be back soon :)

You will get a template selector on the news paragraph for the details instead. I think you have it on 9.1.5.

Must be a bug or a faulty restriction that you have to have extranet installed to be able to select template.

Let me know, and how to get around it
