Dynamicweb 8 compatibility mode

Hi Guys,

I am seeing this message on the top of the source of my pages:

<!-- WARNING: Dynamicweb 8 compatibility mode active. For optimal performance update your templates To Dynamicweb 9 -->

The solution is supposed to be 9.1.3 but the Version section underneath System, reports it as 9.0.0.0

How can I turn the compatibility mode off?

And even more important, how does it affect the behavior of the website?

Hi Adrian

It comes from the Dynamicweb.TemplateCompatibilityPack.dll in your /bin folder. Remove it and it will go away - or your site will go into error if your razor templates are not updated to use DW9 API. See the cheatsheet.

You need to look at the version in the login screen. The one on the system settings is related to the "file system" version - and it has been deprecated in DW9, but it still reports (which is the wrong number). Being fixed soon.
