I upgraded my project to 9.9 and now all my queries on the Content index where I check for the correct areaId give 0 results.
When I disable this expression they appear for all languages ....
What has changed here?

I can confirm that the problem has been reproduced. TFS#83905 - I made a fix, which is now in code review and a fix will be published to Nuget soon.
The cause is that the Dynamicweb project has been converted to C# and the code in the macro which are funcs being executed Dynamically, have an error resulting from the conversion.

I can confirm that 9.9.1 fixed the problem.
