Combining products overwrites prod fields on Master Product

Hi, 

We have a customer running 9.10.7

We are trying to implement varaints for a customer but has run into an issue. They have multiple languages for their products and Name, Teaser Txt and Description have been translated for every language. 

When they combine a bunch products, we are experiencing that the product you choose as the Master just takes the values from the default language(English) and overwrites all the translations that have been done on the Master product. 

 

I have the follwing two products: 

These 2 products has a translated text in the Teaser Text field(Danish). 

I now choose the combine these. 

I choose one of them as the master: ProdNumber: 10104

 

 

Teaser text has now been overwritten on ProdNumber: 10104


The other variantchilds has not been affacted. it is only the one you choose as the Master.

Hi Keerthy,

I was able to reproduce the issue on my environment as well, new DevOps bug 1882 has been submitted, it will be fixed in upcoming DW release. Thanks for observing.

It has just been planned to fix. I hope it will be done in next DW9.10.9 release. Sorry for inconvenience.

The bugfix 1882 was released in Dynamicweb 9.10.10 version.
