Workflow module

Reply

Hi,

I am trying to use the workflow module for the first time. From the templates I can see it works with paragraphs, news module, calendar module and others.

Creating a workflow, I should be able to select a group of users, but I can only select one, which is a bit limitative. I assign it to a language/layer and it applies to the whole website, which is exactly what I need.

The second problem is getting it to work with the news module. How do I do that? The only thing it seems possible is to control the paragraphs edition.

Best Regards,

Nuno

Hi Nuno

The templates you are talking about are from an old old old version of the versioning and workflow module... They are not used anymore.

The workflow/version modules (tightly integrated) only works on pages/paragraphs as one. The workflow and the versioning takes care of all changes made on paragraphs on page basis.

Hi Nicolai,

What about the news module? This client has the specific need to control the news workflow. We can create a news and the workflow would not respect the workflow. That is basically all the editors can edit in the backend.

The website is live at www.centrodesportivodamadeira.com if you want to check anything.

I believe the publication step order is correct, but I am not sure. Since "Publication" is the last step, I placed the two editor first (I cannot add the user's group so I had to attach the two participants to the worflow) and before publication I placed the administrator.

Regards,

Nuno

Well - as i said - it only applies to Pages/paragraphs and since news is neither they are not part of the workflow.

Publication is always the last step of the workflow - this actually setting the content live.

The way you created the workflow on the above site, the 2 first people in the list will receive a mail, but will not be required to "approve" the content. Only the administrator has to approve the content giving it to "Publication" which will activate the content.
