Upsizing Access

Reply

Hey Guys.

I'm trying to upsize an Access database to SQL, but i cant get it to work.

All my data is copied to the SQL database fine, and the frontend of the website is working perfectly.

But when i access the administration no pages show up in the navigation tree.

I followed the instructions from this url http://documentation.dynamicweb.dk/Admin/Public/Download.aspx?File=Files%2FFiler%2FDocumentation+portal%2FDynamicweb+CMS%2FDocumentation%2FInstallation%2Fen%2F(en-US)_Installation_Guide__Dynamicweb_dotNet.pdf

It seems DynamicWeb knows i had 205 pages, but i wont render my page strukture.

Help!

/Martin

Do you have access to other data than pages? News and such?

Yes,

It seems all modules have access to the data from the SQL server, except pages.

It's quite difficult guessing what is wrong here. Could you post a link?

I've had a look at it a couple of times when I've brewed up an idea of what it could be, but nothing worked.

I haven't seent this before, and I have no idea of what could be wrong with the database, since it is able to figure out how many pages there are.

I think there might be a problem with the menu, and since I haven't seen this before, I could imagine there is a difference between the aspx and the assemblies. I'd very much like you to download the latest application and make a completely new installation with that database. I don't know if this is a custom solution, but just set it up as a standard solution. Open /Files/update.xml and /Files/update_version_ecom.xml in notepad and change the numbers to 0. Then restart the site.

I tried setting up a new solution, but it's the same problem in this one. Something must be wrong with the database i create while upsizing.

I'm pretty sure i'm doing exactly what the guide tells me to.

Would it be possible to let you guys upsize my database to SQL?
