Upgrade from 8.1 to 8.8

Hi,

I'am going to upgrade a custom solution from 8.1 to 8.8, which path should I go to accomplish this?

Hi Ola

It should be very simple. Simply download the 8.8 and change the home directory of the solution to the new application folder and Dynamicweb will handle the rest. You should read the "important notes" from each of the releases in the Release section to see if you have anything you need to be aware of.

 

If your solution is hosted at Hostnordic, you should be able to change the version using the management center instead.

Hi,

Important notes from 8.7:

"If you upgrading a custom solution running version 8.5.1.26 of DW or earlier you will first need to upgrade to 8.5.1.27."

But I can't find the download link for 8.5.1.27

Hi Ola

This is only valid if you have a custom solution and use the management center to upgrade. In that case, you will be missing the /bin/x64/SQLite.Interop.dll assembly.

If you just download and upgrade using IIS this will not be an issue.
