Statistics - Pageload vs Visits

Our client is averaging ~6000 unique visitors every day.. DW statistics is showing 14000 visits. 

My question is now, which statistic is best describing how much load the site is handling? 

Reason is, we are trying to figure the load/pressure limit, and therefore which clients and when we should upgrade them.

Hi Stefan

Where is your 6.000 from and what is the definition of "unique visitors" in that system?

DW counts sessions not recorded as a bot - it seems like there could be some kind of bot using a normal browser UA in your statistics. Check the IP list for 1 day - see if you have an IP doing a lot of sessions.
