setting the price on the product

I have a product that is a "donation" so the users should be able to set the price higher if they like.

So if the price is 100 kr and they like to donate 500 kr instead they can just type 500 and push the donate button and they will come to the payment section.

How can I set the new price on the product from a text box on the page?

Set the price to 1 and supply a text field that by default adds 500 units and allows the donator to add more units. The rest is template stuff that makes units look like donations.
