I just used the Search Module on a solution.

(Done so for many years, but haven't used global elements that much)

I have one hidden page, where I have alot of paragraphs, which acts as appetizers/links to other pages.

These paragraphs are used to fill in empty spaces in the layout when needed.

But when I search the page, the module doesn't search in the global paragraphs placed on other pages.

If let's say that I have one paragraph, which has it's origin on my hidden page. This paragraph is then placed as a global element on two different pages. Then the Search module should show both pages where the paragraph is placed, and not the hidden one. Now it doesn't show anything at all.

Hi Jacob

On the module tab on the paragraph where you have the search module attached, you will find a checkbox called "Include global paragraphs" under "Settings - Page contents". Checking that will include global paragraphs in your search.

If you dont want the hidden page with the origin of the global paragraphs to be found you can uncheck the "Show in searches" under "Accessibility" on the page.
