 If you search when attaching related products you can't save your selection.

When you have more products then the native selection can hold, you will have products that cannot be selected as related.

We found this issue already in our bug list.

This is bug TFS5534 which was fixed in 19.1.2.1 - so it is already out there. Just upgrade your solution from management center.
