productmenu @active problem

Hi DWs

Question:

It seems that @active is false, when the user step down in the productmenu and end on the product card.

So I cant show the user which productmenu subgroup the item is placed in.

The problem is also that when the user comes in from Google and uses the direct link to the product card.

also, how can I make a default productgroup to make Active, if the product is placed in more then one product-group ?

any way to solve this?

Yes.

Make sure that the link to the product contains both productid and groupid parameter.

If you use the tag Ecom:Product.LinkGroup.Clean it will make sure the information is present - this tag is also compatible with the new URL handling in eCommerce.

Hi Nicolai,

great! I can see that it works on the product lists.

But that leaves me with two problems:

1. I don't know if we have done this correct, but we have made a category which we call "frontpage items".
But when you select the item from the frontpage, the URL is "...dynamicweb.dk/Products/....", and the primary category is not folded out.

2. The same URL is present is the ShowBasket "Cart" step0. where the user can see the products before they go on to buy. But if they select the link, the URL is also "...dynamicweb.dk/Products/...."

So it seems that it could be useful to have an "master attachment", where the product, can be attached to a master-category (if everything fails).

I hope this makes sense, else fell free to call me.

Yes - the need for a primary group for products that are placed more than one place.

It is already in the backlog - products will automatically be placed in a primary group and that can be overruled on the product.

Thats great news, because I know, perticularly one of our clients will be anxious to have this feature presently.

 Wokring in a DW8.1.1.7 it seems like the @active and @inpath on groups is not working. Is that correct?

 

I am using the tag Ecom:Product.LinkGroup.Clean, but still, the values are always false

The @active and @inpath will only Work if you have the GroupID in the querystring (or ecommerce pretty URLs).

 

Make sure it is there or post me the URL and I'll have a look.

It is not working for me either, I'm using 8.2.1.10.

@InPath is False even if it should be True.

Think I found out the problem. I had not included any "Product Catalog" module to my eCom page.

When I added that, the breadcrumb is working.
