Product admin update notifier

I want to notify a mailinglist of product price changes.

All inputs to solve this are welcome ?

I can find a group update notifier in API, but not for Product ?

No product notifications available...

Best bet would do it from global.asax in Application_OnPreRequestHandlerExecute and take a look if it is /Admin/Module/ecom_catalog/something.aspx that is being executed and it contains a ProductID in the post. And then do it like that... Ugly, but it will work...
