Old users are non-functional

Hej guys,

Have a quick question here. I have a warning message here from DW, I got it right after I made an update to the new DW8.
I just wanted to know what does it mean, and what can it do in the system? The solution is using ActiveDirectory custom module.
Any plain CMS (no eCom) related pitfalls I might expect cause of this?

Thanks alot for help!

Regards,
Dmitrij

 Hi Dmitrij,

This message should only occur when upgrading from Dynamicweb 7 to Dynamicweb 8, and the DW7 was using the old version of User Management.

Dynamicweb 8 does no longer support the old User Management, which is why the update is mandatory. The only concern you may have, is if the solution has custom code working with the old User Management. Otherwise you should be able to just upgrade effortless.

Hej Morten,

Thanks for info... I think it's gonna be all fine, the client is using ActiveDirrectory, so there is no user management as such happening not through the Admin panel atleast, but they have their internal user system setup.

I was just making sure all is fine, and I am not forgetting something here :-)

Thanks for help,
Dmitrij
