NavigationProvider not firing on 8.5

Hi there,

I have a project running on 8.4.19 that has a NavigationProvider that adds products to the menu. I upgraded the site to 8.5.1.13 and then the NavigationProvider is no longer called. As soon as I downgrade to 8.4 the provider starts working again.

Did something changes between these versions? I can supply a site or code if that's needed.

Hi Imar,

there is indeed a new thing: it's now possible to select the custom provider in the UI

A dropdown with custom navigation providers is placed in {page properies->Navigation-> Settings ecom groups}

Hi Imar,

Vladimir is right that this functionality has been added.

However, it does look like the change has caused some unwanted behaviour (what you are descriping).

We are looking into this, and will get back to you when we know more.

The problem TFS#16580 has now been fixed in version 8.5.1.15 & 8.6.0.2
