Incomplete orders cart

Hi,

I'm getting questions about some incomplete orders my client recieved. After a bit off research i found out the orders just contain an cart number. When checking the logs i fount out these carts only visited the confirmation page. The only time this page is shown is after a customer has paid his order.

All paiments which we received we could trace back to a succesfull completed order. So nothing really serious. Just a bit of a mystery how these empty carts keep showing up in the ovevrview off DynamicWeb.

Can anybody explain how this happens?

These carts present and you see them, because they are not finished orders.

They can be not finished  because:
-        A customer didn’t finished his order and leave a site.
-        An order is under processing of Payment Gateway and DW site waits confirmation. Usually a Payment Gateway sends confirmation in few seconds, but it can takes several days, depends from Payment Gateway. 

You can filter your orders view and show only finished orders. To do it set Complete orders in Order progress filter.

Thanks for your answer. Shouldn't these carts have customer data at that moment?

In first variant, when a customer leaves a site - NO
In second, when DW site waits confirmation  - YES
