Extending DAP to also export assets of BOM (Parts List)

The DAP uses the /dwapi/ecommerce/products/export

For the export as zip function, as far as I can see there is no possibility there to extend this to include assets of SubProducts in case of a parts list.

In this case would I need to create my own API endpoint, and if yes, any guidelines on that?

In the frontend, you can expand the bom and finde the items (products) that is part of the BOM and send the data to the endpoint. In that way, you do not have to change or customize the endpoint
