I hope that some of you will be able to help me out on this, or at least be able to tell me what is causing this.
We are currently trying to connect to an external server through DynamicWeb's Datalist module. It works, but it is extremly slow (Takes more than 2 minutes to open a page). The external server has been tested and we have opened the correct ports in the firewall, the speed here seems is fine on the external server, so I don't it's that server who makes it slow. We have contacted HostNordic (who is running the webhotel for this solution) aswell, and they have also opened the required port - seems it didn't help at all...
My question(s) is...
1. Is there any bug in the Datalist module that could have anything to do with the speed/connection?
2. Is it possible to cache the XML from datalists so the homepage will only have to connect like once or twice a day to the external server, and then just read from the XML?
3. Any other suggestions to what could cause this? We have tried just about anything we could think of by now...
