BOM and custom taxes

Hi,

I have products configured as parts lists (BOM), and would like to add a custom tax (Weee), when adding the product to the cart (using a notification subscriber).

It is not working, as it seems this is only possible if the products is of type "Product" or "Fixed". Is that correct?

The tax value is based on a custom value on the product itself, so I need to add them dynamically.

Are there any other ways of doing this?

Hi Kurt,

 

If you are using a notification subscriber and using ProductType fixed, that should all be fine.

 

Other ways to do it could be a dummy "Service" product that you associate with the BOM product (if this is only for BOM products).

So I'm correct, that it is only possible for fixed and ordinary products?

If so, as all of my main products are BOM products, I guess I have to create a "dummy" product :(
