Avoid dynamicweb extra parametre in newsletters?

Hi,

I have a customer who is using Dynamicweb to send out newsletters. They have some links in the newsletter which points to another system.

When Dynamicweb renders the newsletters it adds extra parameters to all links inside the template. It is tracking related parameters which are added to the HREF. The other system which links points to cannot handle extra parameters (!), and therefore the Dynamicweb extra parameters breaks the links on the other system.

I asked Dynamicweb support which adviced me to ask here, as they did not have any suggestions as to how to avoid that process.

I wonder if there is a notification or some other parts of Dynamicweb API which could help me remove or disable this Dynamicweb feature?

Thank you.

Dynamicweb rewrites all links to internal links (/link.ashx?id=1&…) for tracking purposes, but the final link (a redirect) should not contain additional parameters, i.e. it should be exactly as it was before rewriting.

Can you show us an example of a rendered newsletter and a link that misbehaves? (Send me an email if you prefer not to share the content in the forum.)

Best regards,
Mikkel
