Assortments and Default DW ecom navigation

Hej guys,

I tryed to set up some assortments here.

And I can see that it works great when assorting products, ones restructed are not shown.

But in the assortment setup, we do attach Groups. So when the user loggs in he should not have those products available in groups selected.

That should include groups aswell. Shoudn't it?

 

DW navigation still shows those groups. Is there any way I could restrict those groups from being shown in dwnavigation?

Hi Dmitrij,

Selecting groups is for the sake of usability. Database-wise it is still a list of productID's. As such, there is no product group information saved in relation to assortments. That should answer your first question.

So the answer to your last question would be: there is no relation between assortment and group navigation, and restriction as described is not possible.

Thanks for answer, well I was kinda hoping that since DW does assort and render filter data accordingly, I was hoping it would do the same for groups aswell. But that's allright, thanks allot for info! :-)
