Hi,

 

We need to create a URL shortener module, which basically redirects (301) for the correct Dynamicweb link.

 

We would like to incorporate an information and/or button (for a pop-up window) so we could see exactly what short URL that page would generate/be.

 

The idea is to prevent the user from copying the URL, and pasting it in the module to generate a short URL.

 

Is this possible?

Hi Nuno,

 

If the input field is based on an ordinary form field, somehting like http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1226574/disable-copy-paste-into-html-form-using-javascript might be of use?

Hi Morten,

 

That's a good idea, if we use the new items in pages funcionality. That way I can create an item field that will be populated by the module/generator and on page save update if necessary.
