301 redirect in Web.config

 Hi Guys,

We are trying to make a 301 redirect in web.config. The reason for doing it like this is beacase when we are trying to do it "Web & HTTP" in management center, we get an error: "Path is invalid because it exists physically on the disk" See screendump.

It's not really working and we are just getting an Internal Error 500.

We have added these lines from here: http://knowledge.freshpromo.ca/seo-tools/301-redirect.php#web.config

Hi Jon,

Do you have any details on the HTTP 500 error you mention?

Have a look at a previous thread about 301 redirecting old page ids. Maybe you can use the example I have provided there, however it does require that the rewrite module has been installed on IIS.
