Where can i find the new editor in 8.3

Hi Guys,

I just installed a clean 8.3.0.2 and when i access the backend, i see the old text editor

When i look at this, it looked like the new CK editor would be included in 8.3: http://developer.dynamicweb-cms.com/releases/dynamicweb-8-3.aspx

Am i missing something in my setup?

Go to management center, editing, Interface settings, and set the "Use provider based editor" checkbox.

Of course this should be in the default empty data. Will get it done....

Any idea what could be going on when you don't have this option? I set up a new site yesterday and the option is not there....

If the solution is installed with a 8.2 fileset, and does not have upgrade agreement installed, it does not internally gets updated to 8.3 - and this checkbox does not appear.

In globalsettings, take a look at CurrentVersion node - make sure it is 8.3.0.0

It's a brand new installation of 8.3.0.2 using the DefaultEpptyData for DW 8 from here: http://developer.dynamicweb-cms.com/downloads/dynamicweb-8.aspx

Shouldn't that be enough?

CurrentVersion says 8.0 indeed. Changing it to 8.3 fixes the issue. Should that also be in DED?

Yes it should.

Great, got it working with the tweaked GlobalSettings file.

So far it looks really nice.

Having problems inserting images from the File Manager though. When opening the Image dialog, no file selector is rendered in the dialog:

Did i miss something, or is it a bug.

Windows 8, FF 23.0.1

Same issue in Chrome 29

Maybe i'm missing a setting somewhere.

Odd, same browsers work for me. Is it visible on the second tab? Could it be a font size or zoom issue? Ran into a similar issue last week where checkboxes would disappear in Chrome at a certain zoom level.

Cheers,

Imar
