Is there a way to exclude data from some item-fields, when doing a search ?

I have some items with a file-picker and link-picker, and when getting a result back i Search Weighted, the raw paths to either is shown in the summery.

Having the main part of the summery look like this: "... /Files/Images/Dev/FrontPageSpot1.jpg Default.aspx?ID=89 ..." is not all that userfriendly :)

Hello Kenneth,

There no way to exclude an item-fields from search.

I vote this +1 it is really limiting the use of items potetional that search result are full of "meta"-data.

Please prioritize fixing this.

Hi Kenneth & Kevin

We will fix this. We are working on 2 issues. One to define on a field that it can be excluded from being searched, and another one making sure only fields of type text/long text/rich text etc. are included in the summary - searched, but not in summary.

TFS#17205+TFS#17206 scheduled for 8.7 in August

I am facing the same issue whilst implementing weighted search.

Yes it has been made, and will be out with 8.7 in August.
