Really turn off Logs

Kevin O'Driscoll
Reply

We are having an issue with our installation which means we would like to turn off Logs temporarily does anyone know of a setting in DW that will do this in the backend or in the Global settings file?

We have retention days set for files and database logs, but DW seems to ignore these settings.

Hi Kevin,

"We have retention days set for files and database logs, but DW seems to ignore these settings."

  • Do you have an active "Cleanup logs" scheduled task?
  • Did you enable the "Delete logs automatically" setting?
  • Did you enable the "include subfolders" setting for each log folder?

I don't think there is any way to disable logging.

Yes to all but not active "Cleanup logs" scheduled task so Ill test this now and see if DW is paying attention!

Pity I dont have this option to disable logging while we get over a short term problem

Thanks anyway Morten
