Performance of using Item Lists (SQL issue)

Hi,

We are using Item Lists a lot of places as they seem to be very nice to put data into from a content perspective, however, when using ?debug=true, we notices that they caused a lot of SQL queries even through we have enabled caching on those items.

Anybody have some hints in regards to how to get around this?

Apologies about the double posting, I went in a hour later and could not find my own post, so I thought I forgot to save it. 

I think that it was the forum index that wasn't updated ;)

I could have sworn that I already answered it, when I noticed that only NP had written in the forum, so I got nervous about if it was a bug! :-0

Anyway, it's a good question and one of the major (unseen) changes to happen to the architecture of dynamicweb, so all feedback is much appriciated. :)
