Notifications for changed password

Hi Guys,

I have a repetitive request form customers about the behavior of the system after the password was changed.

Some customers are asking just for a confirmation message, some other customers are asking for an email notification that the password was changed.

I believe this is a decent request and most probably a best practice. However, I could not find a way to implement it without ninja tricks (not my favorites).

Is there anything I am missing? SHould this become a feature request instead?

Thanks,

Adrian

Hi Nicolai,

Yes. I remember at some point, a few versions ago, there might have been a type of notification. I have not seen it in action but I have found some rezidual HTML tags in older templates.

Maybe it's something that got lost along the way?

Thanks,

Adrian

There is no notifications in updating a user in the frontend - never has been.

So you want a feature that sends an email if user edits his account (or if only the password changes)?

Hi Nicolai,

This means I have wrongfuly interpreted the HTML Tags.
So far we've been only requested to send email confirmations after Password has changed.

Thanks,

Adrian
