Multilanguage copying of pages

Hi,

This is on a multilanguage site and pages based on item type.

It appears that when copying a page which is based on an item type, the page is only copied on the master site, not on the language sites.

Is there a way to make DW automatically copy it to the language sites too?

Hi Ton

Copying a page on the master does not create language versions - because it could cause the solution to stall.

When you have copied a page, you can go to the properties, advanced tab, and click the Languages button. Then you can restore the page to all the languages from there. See attached dump.

Hi Nicolai,

Thanks for the feedback. I indeed found the same method of created the language variants, but I expected DW to be smart enough to do this with the copy-action. I don't understand why the solution should stall? 

Anyway, I'll let the customer know.

Hi Ton.

If you copy a page with subpages with subpages with subpages, in 63 languages, it could be 1000s of pages and paragraphs. I know because it happened... smiley
