Make eCom Group a shortcut in navigation

Hi,

I have a eCom menu working fine, but I need to introduce 1 or 2 pages in between. Without having to redo everything I though of using 2 dummy groups and redirect them to the proper location, much like we do with pages and the shortcut.

This is easier said than done, because of what's available in the XSLT for an eCom group. I tried using the URL field, but that's picked up by the URL provider, so does not work.

Can anybody think of a good solution for this?

You have custom fields on the group, and if the group is empty, the catalog renderes the empty product list template with group information, If it is just normal content you need, you can do it with these custom fields.

Alternatively, you can have the same template do a redirect to (og maybe even load the content of) the page based on information placed in the custom field on the group.

Hi Nicolai,

Wow... I was stuck trying to solve that through the navigation and you suggested it through the "No Products" or "Product list" templates. Great, that's just what I needed.

It's not as efficient but will work, thanks a lot.
