Losing items in areas and pages after recycling of application pool

Across several solutions, we some times experience that after recycling of the application pool, we lose all items at area and page level. Then we manually have to update AreaItemType and AreaItemId in the table Area. In the table Page we also can lose all data in PagePropertyItemId.

Any ideas on how this can happen - it's very frustrating and time consuming to get this back to normal again?

Hi Niels,

I think we need some more details in order to help you with this...

1) What is the version of Dynamicweb?
2) Which synchronize option is selected under Settings > Control Panel > Item settings?
3) Do you have multiple installations of Dynamicweb running on the same database but with separate files folders?

1) Dynamicweb 9.6.10
2) Settings > Control Panel > Item sttings > Synchronize : Files
3) No
