Is it possible to create random passwords when importing users, if password not already exists?

Hi

we have a costumer who needs a solution where users are imported from another system, via a csv or an xml file. The Import will happen once pr. day

 

Is it possible to set the import to create userpasswords for new users only (users that don´t already have a password), and is this straightforward?

Hi Hans,

Yes, that is easy to accomplish.

You just need to configure a Data Integration activity. Use the CSV or XML provider as source and the User provider as destination with "Generate passwords for users" enabled.
